French Reading Interventionist School-Year 2026-2027 Full-time, 10- month positions Start Date: August 4, 2026 The French Reading Interventionist will coordinate the French reading and intervention programs, including but not limited to: assessment and progress monitoring, data collection and analysis, and creation of improvement plans. This position will also provide direct support to students via small groups or push-in support. This person will also facilitate training or professional development for the K-5 French team Status of Position This is a full-time position with Académie Lafayette. This is an exempt position pursuant to the U.S. Department of Labor.   Reporting The French Reading Interventionist reports to their campus/building principal. Responsibilities * Provide research-based direct instruction in small intervention groups * Participate in ongoing professional development in reading instruction * Assist building principal in coordination of school assessment and intervention plans * Provide support to grade level teachers in strategies to support at-risk students * Work collaboratively with the building team to provide parent support and education * Maintain, analyze and disseminate student data * Create and maintain improvement plans * Collaborate with district intervention team and leadership * Participate in district staff development committee * Other responsibilities as assigned by principal Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in French, elementary education or related field * Hold or be eligible for a Missouri teaching certificate or certificate in home country * Proven experience as a teacher Other Requirements * Must pass a state and federal fingerprint background check through MACHS. * Must be registered or get registered with the Family Care Safety Registry.
