ABOUT COGENT Cogent is building autonomous cyber defense with AI agents that help security teams move from finding risk to actually fixing it. Since emerging from stealth, we’ve grown rapidly and partnered with global enterprises to secure some of the world’s most complex production environments. Our product and talent are our biggest differentiators. Our team brings experience from: * High growth technology companies including Scale AI, Databricks, Stripe, Tesla, and Coinbase. * Leading cybersecurity companies including Wiz, Abnormal AI, and Zscaler. * Preeminent machine learning research labs including DeepMind and SAIL. Backed by Greylock and Bain Capital Ventures, we’re building a team that combines frontier AI research with deep cybersecurity expertise and the ability to execute at scale.   ABOUT THE ROLE Cogent is looking for an Enterprise Account Executive to own the full sales cycle across large enterprise accounts in Southern California. You will build the territory, win new logos, expand customers, and establish Cogent as a strategic AI and cybersecurity partner. This role is for a cybersecurity hunter with strong local market knowledge, established CISO relationships, and the range to lead both technical evaluations and executive business conversations. This is a remote role based within Southern California. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Own the territory and exceed new ARR and expansion targets across large enterprise accounts. * Build pipeline through direct outbound, executive relationships, channel partners, marketing, and referrals. * Create account plans and multithread across CISOs, security and IT teams, procurement, and executive sponsors. * Lead technical evaluations, develop quantified business cases, negotiate, and close complex multi year agreements. * Work across Sales Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and partners while maintaining accurate forecasts and CRM data. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * 8+ years in B2B quota carrying sales, including 5+ years in cybersecurity and 3+ years selling directly to large enterprises. * A consistent record of exceeding quota and winning complex deals worth six figures or spanning multiple years against established competitors. * Existing relationships with CISOs and security buyers in Southern California, plus the ability to self source pipeline. * Technical credibility across security, cloud, and AI, with the ability to translate product value into executive level ROI. * High growth or challenger company experience, strong ownership, and willingness to travel.
