ReconCraft is seeking a Fabricator to be responsible for all manners of fabrication to manufacture new vessels and related components.  Duties include preparing, assembling, and welding all components to create a final assembly or sub-assembly based on specifications and/or drawings.  RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO): * Operate welding equipment using appropriate GMAW and GTAW techniques to weld aluminum and steel sheet, plate, and extrusion in all positions * Prepare weldments using tools such as saws, routers, grinders, pneumatic cutting tools, wire brushes and various hand tools of the trade * Basic interpretation of blueprints, drawings, weld symbols and schedules to lay out patterns on material * Perform welding in the fabrication phase of construction, including the pre-fabrication of sub-assemblies such as bulkheads, girders, decks, and cabins using jigs and fixtures * Secure small parts for assembly and welding * Perform operation of overhead cranes, forklifts, man lifts, and other fabrication equipment * Maintain a professional, neat, and secure fabrication area  QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: * High school graduate or GED      * Required Knowledge/Experience: * Valid driver’s license * Aluminum welding and fabrication experience * Must pass the Welding and Fabrication testing given on site * Preferred Knowledge/Experience: * Fabricating and assembling aluminum vessels and/or aluminum vessel components * Interpreting blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and weld schedules * Operating forklifts with certification * Physical Requirements: * Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs * This position requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing, and visual acuity * Must also be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks  Position Pay Range $23—$40 USD About Copper River & The Native Village of Eyak: Owned by the Native Village of Eyak (NVE), a federally recognized Alaska Native Tribe, the Copper River Family of Companies are a collection of entities that deliver a complementary set of solutions and services to support the diverse missions and requirements of our clients.
