JOB SUMMARY OpenGov modernizes how government works — and field marketing is how that story reaches the people who need to hear it. The Field Marketing Coordinator plays a hands-on role in bringing OpenGov's brand to life through events, trade shows, and campaigns that generate pipeline and deepen relationships with prospects and customers. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, energized by logistics and execution, and eager to grow within a fast-moving govtech marketing team. RESPONSIBILITIES * Support the execution of field marketing programs and event strategies that drive pipeline and advance OpenGov's presence in key markets. * Coordinate logistics for regional marketing events, including trade shows and conferences — managing vendors, timelines, and on-site setup to ensure smooth execution. * Assist with planning and executing the annual customer conference, supporting promotion, registration, vendor coordination, on-site logistics, and post-event follow-up. * Partner with go-to-market teams to understand target audiences and ensure event messaging aligns with campaign objectives and product positioning. * Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, ensuring alignment with brand standards and campaign goals. * Track event and campaign performance using marketing automation and CRM platforms, contributing to ROI reporting and post-event recaps. * Coordinate with local industry associations, partners, and vendors to support event logistics and expand OpenGov's reach. * Represent OpenGov professionally at events, and travel to event locations as needed to support on-site execution. REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. * 1–2 years of experience in event coordination, field marketing, or a related role; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency in Google Suite; familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. * Fluency with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) in a marketing context. * Ability to travel occasionally and work flexible hours to support event activities. Preferred Experience: * Experience supporting trade shows, conferences, or B2B marketing events. * Familiarity with marketing automation or CRM platforms such as Salesforce. * Interest in or exposure to the public sector, government technology, or SaaS industries. Compensation: Chicago, IL: $60,000- $75,000 On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.
