As Head of Data Services, you will lead Brainlabs' data capability across Business Intelligence, Data Science, digital analytics, and Google Marketing Platform, setting the strategic direction and quality bar for every team under your remit. You are accountable for the commercial performance of the practice, for building the AI-powered ways of working that define how we deliver data services, and for positioning Brainlabs as a genuine leader in marketing data. This is a role for someone who combines deep technical credibility across multiple data disciplines with the commercial instincts and leadership presence to drive change at scale. WHAT YOU DO * Set the Strategic Direction for Data Services: You own the vision, roadmap, and practice-wide standards across BI, Data Science, digital analytics, and Google Marketing Platform, ensuring each team is pulling in the same direction and delivering to a consistent quality bar. * Lead the AI Overhaul of Data Services: You drive the transformation of how data services teams work, embedding AI into every practice area and building the processes, tools, and skills that make Brainlabs' data delivery faster, more rigorous, and harder to replicate. * Own the Commercial Performance of the Practice: You are accountable for data services revenue and growth, identifying expansion opportunities within existing clients, contributing to new business pitches, and building a pipeline of data services work across the agency. * Provide Technical Leadership Across Disciplines: You set the standard for technical excellence across tagging and analytics, MMM, BI, and GMP, maintaining enough depth across each to lead expert practitioners, challenge their thinking, and make sound calls on approach and quality. * Build and Develop the Leadership Team: You manage the practice leads and senior practitioners within data services, creating clear development pathways, running structured coaching conversations, and building the succession depth the practice needs to grow. * Represent Data Services Externally: You present at C-suite and senior marketing leadership level, support major client pitches, and contribute to Brainlabs' market reputation through thought leadership and industry presence. WHO YOU ARE * A Multi-Disciplinary Data Leader: You have a track record of leading marketing data teams across more than one discipline, likely spanning tagging and analytics, MMM, and BI, whether built in agencies or in-house. * Technically Credible Across the Stack: You have enough depth across analytics, data science, and measurement to lead expert practitioners, challenge their work, and make sound technical judgements, even where you are not the specialist in the room. * AI-First in Your Approach: You have a clear, practical vision for how AI transforms data services delivery and the leadership conviction to make that change happen at team and practice level. * Commercially Driven: You have owned revenue targets and grown a book of business, with a genuine instinct for where data creates commercial value and how to translate technical capability into client investment. * A Builder of High-Performing Teams: You develop leadership capability in the people below you, create environments where technical excellence and commercial drive coexist, and hold yourself accountable for the performance of your whole team. * A Compelling Communicator: You present to C-suite clients and internal leadership with equal confidence, translating complex data capability into narratives that land with people who don't live in spreadsheets. HOW YOU SUCCEED * Commercial Growth: Data services revenue grows year-on-year under your leadership, with clear evidence of new business wins and expansion across existing clients. * AI Transformation: You achieve documented, measurable adoption of AI across data services ways of working, with clear before-and-after evidence of improved efficiency and output quality across the practice. * Practice Quality: Client satisfaction and QA metrics are consistently strong across all data services disciplines, and you can evidence how your leadership has raised the quality bar since you joined. * Team and Leadership Development: The leaders within your team are developing and performing at or above expectations, and you can point to specific examples of how you have built capability and succession depth. * Market Position: Brainlabs is increasingly recognised as a data services leader, evidenced by new business wins, published thought leadership, and the reputation you and your team carry in the market.
