Healthcare Payroll Specialist at Cortica - Neurodevelopmental (Remote)

Cortica is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join its growing team! In this role, you will be a key member of the Finance team. What will you do?  * Process full-cycle payroll for assigned entities on a bi-weekly basis for an expanding workforce  * Research and resolve payroll related questions and issues; explain payroll policies and procedures and provide outstanding customer service  * Verify and process employee expense reimbursements  * Serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external payroll tax related inquires and audits * Continuously drive improvements, automation, communication, and education to improve employee experience  * Assist with the implementation of new payroll systems or updating existing systems to meet business needs  * Upgrade process and procedures as company scales to integrate with latest technology We’d love to hear from you if:  * You possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).   * You bring 3+ years of progressive payroll processing experience.   * You have experience with multi-state payroll and familiarity with new-state registration set-up and compliance. * You have solid working knowledge of UKG (implementation experience a plus!) and the aptitude to learn new systems. * You can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.  * You demonstrate high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality. The base pay range for this opening is $25.09 to $31.37 hourly.
