Coho Consulting Group is seeking a performance driven Human Resource Technician provides advanced administrative and operational support to federal Human Resources Specialists in the areas of position builds and classification. This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of personnel actions, supports HR data integrity and reporting, and delivers responsive customer service to stakeholders. The position plays a critical role in enabling efficient, compliant, and high-quality federal hiring operations. This position is hybrid, reporting onsite at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA at least 2-3 days per week. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): * Position Build & Coding * Build, establish, and maintain civilian position records within authorized personnel systems. * Input and verify standard Personnel Action Request (PAR/SF-52) data elements including Series, Title, Grade, Pay Plan, Bargaining Unit Status (BUS) codes, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) designations, and Cyber/Security codes. * Align position builds with approved organizational structures (TDA, UTO, Joint Manpower Program). * Verify organization codes, UIC/PAS codes, cost centers, and supervisory ratios. * Update organizational hierarchies following restructuring, realignments, or command-directed changes. * Quality Control & Compliance * Review position request packages for completeness, proper authorization signatures, and manpower approval prior to system entry. * Identify and resolve system errors, duplicate records, or mismatched coding prior to recruitment release. * Ensure compliance with DoD instructions, OPM guidelines, and local servicing agreements. * Data Management & Reporting * Enter, update, and validate HR data within systems such as DCPDS and related platforms. * Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure data accuracy and completeness * Develop and maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and reports to monitor HR actions and workflow status. * Support data calls and reporting requirements with accurate and timely information. Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements: * Clearance: * Active Secret Clearance required * Education and Certifications: * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience) * Required Experience: * Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience supporting federal HR operations, including staffing, onboarding, or HR administrative support * Experience working within a federal agency or supporting DoD/OSW HR environments preferred * Required Skill and Competencies * Knowledge of federal HR processes, including recruitment, staffing, onboarding, and position classification support * Familiarity with HR systems such as DCPDS (or equivalent federal HRIS platforms) * Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and validate documentation for accuracy and completeness * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for tracking and reporting * Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion * Organizational skills with the ability to maintain structured records and documentation Position Pay Range $75,000—$95,000 USD About Copper River & The Native Village of Eyak: Owned by the Native Village of Eyak (NVE), a federally recognized Alaska Native Tribe, the Copper River Family of Companies are a collection of entities that deliver a complementary set of solutions and services to support the diverse missions and requirements of our clients.
