ABOUT EYE SECURITY Eye Security protects European mid-market businesses from cyber threats: 24/7 monitoring and response, incident response, and integrated cyber insurance, all in one. We're 170+ people across the Netherlands, UK, Germany and Belgium, with roots in Dutch intelligence and national CERTs. Our mission is simple: enterprise-grade security shouldn't only be for enterprises. We've just closed Series C and are scaling fast. Germany is a growth market for us, and we need local People leadership to match that ambition. THE ROLE You'll be the People Business Partner for our German operations, partnering with sales teams, customer support & on boarding, and project management. It's the most varied population in the company. That mix is exactly why this role needs presence more than years. You'll coach first-time managers on the basics one hour and challenge leadership on a strategic call the next. You'll need to be comfortable doing both, and to enjoy it. And here's what makes this role bigger than the title: alongside the partnering work, you'll get to build things most HRBPs only inherit: redesigning our performance cycle for German context, rethinking benefits, shaping how development works here. You'll lead them yourself, start to finish, and see them land in the business you partner with every day. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Be the trusted partner for German leaders in Sales and customer support: coaching, challenging, and advising at every level of maturity, up to and including leadership. * Be visible. This is an office where face-to-face matters: you'll be embedded in Berlin, listening to what's actually going on, not partnering from a distance. * Build and lead People projects end to end: think redesigning the performance cycle for German teams, refreshing benefits, or building a development approach that works for our culture, taking it from first idea to something that sticks, while your HRBP work keeps running. * Handle the real side of employee relations: complex cases, conduct issues, working with external counsel when needed. You've seen the tough cases and you don't flinch. * Apply German employment law hands-on in day-to-day decisions, and know when to bring in an expert. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * People operations experience in a scaling tech environment. You've lived the journey from around 50 to a few hundred people and know what good looks like at 200 to 400. * Strong stakeholder management and the presence to challenge back, including senior leadership, without becoming the policy police. * A track record of hands-on project leadership: you've owned People initiatives from design to rollout yourself, not coordinated them from the sidelines. * Genuinely comfortable with ambiguity: our problems don't come with a manual, and you'd rather solve them creatively than wait for one. * Hands-on, working knowledge of German employment law. * Professional German (business conversations, can lead meetings with non-English speakers) and professional English. * Based in Berlin or the surrounding area with a hybrid attendance WHAT WE OFFER * Real impact: help build the People foundations of a company protecting businesses across Europe, alongside colleagues from intelligence, military, tech and consulting backgrounds. * Fixed-term clarity: 1-year contract (covering maternity leave), starting mid-November 2026.
