The role The Impact Programs Coordinator supports the coordination of volunteers and delivery of programs that make a meaningful difference for patients and families at Queensland Children’s Hospital. Working closely with the Volunteer Engagement Manager and Impact Programs team, this role supports day-to-day program delivery, administration, volunteer coordination and engagement, helping to create a consistent, high-quality experience for children, families and volunteers. The position also supports continuity of service delivery across the week by following agreed program processes, supporting volunteer operations and assisting with family-focused activities, celebrations and memory-making opportunities. This is a part time role, Thursday and Friday, on a 12-month fixed term contract, and is based at Queensland Children’s Hospital. Who are you? * You are warm, approachable and comfortable engaging with children, families, volunteers and hospital stakeholders. * You bring a calm, organised and practical approach to day-to-day coordination. * You are collaborative, reliable and communicate clearly with those around you. * You show compassion, respect and good judgement when supporting families and volunteers. * You are proactive, flexible and willing to step in where needed. * You are passionate about making a difference for sick kids and their families. Key criteria To be successful in this role, you will bring relevant skills and experience in: * A vocational qualification in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Experience delivering programs or services in a healthcare, community or family support environment * Experience coordinating volunteers and supporting day-to-day program delivery, administration and operations. * Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based platforms, with the ability to complete accurate data entry and administration tasks. * Experience working within professional boundaries, privacy and confidentiality requirements. * Experience working directly with children and young people, ideally within a Child Safe Organisation Framework.
