This is a 1099 independent contractor position, ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and delivering exceptional quality. Compensation: * Compensation will be based on experience and volume of work * Paid per garment or agreed-upon rate structure RESPONSIBILITIES, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS: Key Responsibilities: * Perform high-quality alterations on custom garments, including suits, jackets, trousers, and shirts * Execute precise fittings and adjustments to ensure optimal garment fit and client satisfaction * Work independently to manage alteration requests in a timely and efficient manner * Maintain consistent quality standards and attention to detail across all garments * Communicate effectively regarding timelines, garment needs, and any alteration considerations Requirements: * Must own and maintain all necessary sewing and tailoring equipment * Proven experience in alterations and tailoring, specifically with custom or high-end garments * Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently * Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship * Reliable, professional, and responsive communication skills * Provide references * Show examples of work Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working with luxury or made-to-measure clothing * Ability to handle complex alterations and specialty fabrics * Flexible availability to meet business needs * Demonstrate the ability to ask clarifying questions when instructions or expectations are unclear * Proactively communicate when a requested alteration cannot reasonably be completed due to insufficient fabric/materials time constraints, cost-effectiveness, or other limitations
