The IT Support Specialist will maintain and enhance Knix’s IT infrastructure, provide technical support to HQ employees, and ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities. The IT Specialist reports directly to the IT Manager. ABOUT YOU 3+ years of experience in IT support, IT coordination, or a similar technical role Strong technical background in IT systems, networks, and software Experienced with both macOS and Windows environments Proactive problem-solver who enjoys troubleshooting and supporting others Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Clear communicator, able to explain technical issues to non-technical staff Organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about staying current with emerging technologies RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the first point of contact for technical support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues for HQ employees, both remotely and in person Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware and software, and document IT systems, network configurations, and support procedures Create, manage, and disable user accounts while ensuring appropriate access controls Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, perform routine maintenance, and assist with installing and configuring hardware and software Educate employees on IT security policies and provide training on new systems and tools Participate in IT projects, support testing and deployment of new solutions, and assist in developing IT policies and disaster recover Maintain robust and reliable connectivity across our 23 retail locations by utilizing a strong foundational knowledge of network protocols to troubleshoot local outages and assist with physical hardware deployments. Troubleshoot complex corporate office connectivity issues and actively participate in scheduled network hardware and routing upgrades to guarantee maximum uptime and peak performance for headquarters. Partner with cross-functional business departments to evaluate new software acquisitions, ensuring all third-party platforms align with company security policies and industry best practices. Continuously monitor the HQ network and system environments to identify vulnerabilities, recommending and implementing security improvements to protect sensitive company information from external threats. QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience as an IT Coordinator, IT Specialist, or similar role Post-secondary education in IT, computer science, or a related field preferred; certifications (Microsoft, Apple, Google, CompTIA) are a plus Experience with Shopify is highly desirable Familiarity with AV systems, including microphones, speakers, projectors, and conferencing tools Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Salary Starting At: $66,800 Compensation & Care   Transparency is at the heart of everything we do, including how we pay.
