ROLE SCOPE * Engineer mechanical design for energy storage: BESS enclosures, thermal management, and site integration behind the meter. * Own thermal design: cooling for containers and enclosures across climates, validated rather than vendored. * Integrate storage mechanically into the campus: pads, clearances, fire separation, and service access engineered. * Review vendor systems hard: what the datasheet claims versus what the fleet will live with. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would. * You've done mechanical engineering for BESS, power electronics, or thermal-critical enclosures. * You've engineered thermal management validated by test. * You know the safety codes shaping storage siting, NFPA 855 among them, and design to them. * You evaluate vendor equipment beyond the brochure. * You've supported field deployment of your designs. * Bonus: Lithium-ion thermal behavior.
