Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs, administering medications, and direct care duties as needed and in accordance with established policies and procedures. The MA will complete a training program as directed by the MA Coordinator. Essential Functions: * Room patients which includes obtaining vital signs, verifying medications (medication reconciliation), medical history, and obtaining other pertinent information. * Assist physicians and nurses as needed. * Perform EKG’s. * Perform peak flows/spirometry. * Administer O2 as directed by provider. * Perform in-office labs and UDS. * Perform routine prescription refills under the supervision of the MA Lead. * Enter orders for medication and labs as directed by provider. * Scrub charts/huddle with provider and team daily. * Perform normal lab call backs. * Injections and immunization administration. * Assist with procedures. * Packaging instruments for the Autoclave. * Schedule patients for follow-up per provider. * Assist team with desktop items. * Maintain all logs and required checks Qualifications: * High school graduate or equivalent education. * The ability to obtain National Certification within two years of date of hire with Aviva Health. * Current BLS certification or receiving it first day of employment. * Ability to work independently, detail oriented, organized, work effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines. * Excellent computer and organizational skills. * Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures, patient flow, triage and scheduling. * Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word and writing clearly and concisely. Ability to follow verbal and written directions. * Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions and deliver upon expectations. Ready to join our team?
