THE NETWORK OPERATIONS ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Network Engineering Manager, this role will own the full operational lifecycle, Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and availability for network services within the team. You will be responsible for writing production-quality code to automate repetitive tasks and designing tooling to eliminate team-level toil, working closely with the Business Technology team to ensure the network remains reliable, secure, and well-documented. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Manage the full operational lifecycle, SLOs, and availability for network services, driving accountability and supporting scalable solutions in physical and virtual environments. * Design and develop new automation and tooling by writing production-quality code to eliminate team-level toil and improve overall system efficiency. * Collaborate closely with the Workplace Team, TDI Teams, Security, and other stakeholders to resolve recurring incidents and improve IT network security. * Maintain fleet-wide consistency across software, configuration, and security, while assisting with the research and implementation of innovative network technologies. * Participate in an on-call rotation, maintaining composure during live incidents to apply structured troubleshooting, and accurately translating engineering impacts to non-technical stakeholders. WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE * 2+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or an advanced degree without experience. * Strong proficiency in writing production-quality code to automate repetitive tasks and eliminate toil. * Comprehensive understanding of core networking concepts and principles (WiFi, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, ACLs, Routing, and Firewall Policies). * Demonstrated experience working with network device monitoring, alerting, and logging tools. * A strong ability to foster open dialogue and collaboration among the immediate team while maintaining a secure, consistent end-user experience.
