PARTNER SUCCESS MANAGER Location Remote, up to 10% travel required Clasp Student Finance About Us Clasp is a venture-backed, mission-driven startup transforming access to education and career pathways. A college education was always meant to be a pathway to economic mobility, but with rising costs and shrinking loan availability, many students from working class and first generation backgrounds are being left without the financial resources they need to get through school. That’s where Clasp comes in. We are the market leader in institutionally-funded gap loan programs, partnering with schools to design, launch, and manage lending programs that keep students enrolled, graduating, and thriving. A Forbes Fintech 50 company, portfolio company of SHRM, and recipient of “43 Start Ups to Bet Your Career On in 2025” by Business Insider, Clasp is driven by our commitment to social impact and innovation. Join us on our journey to give power and opportunity to learners of all backgrounds. Interested in learning more? Please find additional details on our About Us page and in recent Forbes coverage of our Series B. What We Need Clasp Student Finance is looking for a Senior Partner Success Manager to own the full lifecycle of our school partner relationships — from the moment a partnership is signed through every year of renewal and growth that follows. You'll be the person our university partners turn to for a clear, credible read on how their program is performing and what it takes to hit their own enrollment and retention goals. If you understand how schools think about their KPIs, know your way around the financial aid landscape, and want to use AI tools to build the kind of insight partners can't get anywhere else, we want to talk to you. What You’ll Do * Own a portfolio of university partner relationships end to end, from post-signing kickoff through ongoing renewal. * Run regular business reviews (MBRs/QBRs) with partner stakeholders, understanding their priorities and keeping them clear on program performance. * Build AI-powered dashboards and reporting artifacts that make program ROI visible — both loan portfolio performance and, more importantly, the enrollment, retention, and revenue outcomes partners care about most. * Advocate internally for partner-driven product needs, and escalate and drive resolution of any breakages in the program. * Serve as a trusted, subject-matter-expert advisor to CFOs, VPs of Enrollment, and financial aid leaders — someone partners want on the phone because it's genuinely valuable. * Develop and apply a point of view on the macro pressures facing higher education (funding, enrollment, financial aid) and bring that perspective directly into partner conversations. * Navigate Clasp's internal systems to support onboarding, understand how our loan products work, and coordinate cross-functionally to keep programs running smoothly. What You’ll Need * Demonstrated subject-matter expertise in higher education — enrollment management and/or financial aid operations, including how schools process federal and private loan funding. * Proven experience owning an external B2B client or partner relationship end to end, from onboarding through renewal. * Comfort independently using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to build client-facing dashboards, reports, or analyses — not just consuming what's handed to you. * Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to run a room with senior stakeholders like a CFO or VP of Enrollment, unsupervised. * A consultative mindset: you ask "why" instead of just saying yes, and can disagree with a partner in a way that builds trust rather than friction. * Comfort with some technical complexity — navigating internal systems, understanding how loan products work, and coordinating with onboarding/implementation teams. * Nice to have: experience at an education fintech, loan servicer, ISA provider, or in higher-ed consulting. What We Give In Return * Competitive cash and equity compensation * Health benefits (medical, dental, & vision) * 401k + match * Flexible PTO policy * Opportunities to grow and perform in a fast-paced environment alongside a stellar team. Salary The salary range for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and industry knowledge, ranging between $95,000 to $125,000 annually. In addition to the base salary, we offer an attractive equity component as part of our compensation package, providing an opportunity for eligible employees to share in the success and growth of our company. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent. Working at Clasp Clasp is moving to a remote-first model in 2027. We've built our tools and norms to support flexible, focused work wherever you do your best thinking. To keep collaboration real-time, we hire team members based in the Eastern and Central time zones. Remote-first doesn't mean remote-only. We invest in intentional in-person time to strengthen relationships and stay connected to our mission. Team members should expect company-paid travel up to seven times per year, typically two to four days at a time, for team and company-wide gatherings, in addition to any role-specific travel. Work authorization This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship, now or in the future. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. How we use AI in hiring Clasp uses AI-assisted tools in parts of our hiring process, such as AI notetakers transcribing or summarizing interviews, scheduling, and supporting evaluation in technical assessments. Humans review applications and make every hiring decision. AI tools don't make final decisions about any candidate. You're welcome to use AI to research Clasp and prepare, but during live interviews and assessments we want to hear your own thinking, so please don't use AI tools that generate or feed you responses in real time. If you'd like to be evaluated without AI tools, need an accommodation, or have questions about how we use these tools, email [email protected] and we'll arrange another process where we can.
