Who we need Reporting to the Process Planner Team Lead, we are hiring a Process Planner to support accurate manufacturing planning, production data integrity, and the timely release of process plans. You will review Bills of Materials (BOMs) against engineering drawings, maintain item master data and routing information within our ERP system, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, and other teams to ensure manufacturing plans are accurate and ready for execution. You will also contribute to forecasting, demand analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives that support efficient production and on-time client delivery. This is a full-time, on-site role working five days per week, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at our 350 Progress Ave, Scarborough facility. What’s in it for you Broaden your manufacturing expertise. You will work across Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, Supply Chain, and other manufacturing teams, building relationships and experience beyond the Process Planning function. As you deepen your technical knowledge and take on improvement initiatives, you can build a strong foundation for future opportunities in areas such as Manufacturing Engineering or Project Management. What you will do: * Maintain master files. You will define and maintain key production master files to support inventory planning and tracking through the manufacturing process. You will ensure Bills of Materials (BOMs) are associated with the correct sequence and cost center to support material allocations and planning. You will manage BOM import files to support plan development, address issues and errors as required, and coordinate with estimating and cost accounting to ensure process BOMs reconcile. * Plan releases. You will collaborate with the Quality Team to confirm plans are ready and coordinate plan releases for manufacturing and procurement. You will work with the Business Unit and Scheduling to develop a plan structure that supports forecasts and long lead-time purchases. * Coordinate changes. You will review and assess the impact of BOM changes issued by Design on the process plan, including reviewing changes against engineering drawings. You will update relevant files and communicate changes to the impacted teams to ensure the correct BOM is used in the manufacturing process. * Prioritize quality and improvement. You will coordinate with Quality and the Business Unit to ensure appropriate approvals are completed, and issues are documented. You will follow all policies and procedures defined in the company quality system while supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including opportunities to strengthen planning accuracy and manufacturing efficiency. You have: * The experience. You have experience in process planning, manufacturing engineering, or a related manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to plastics manufacturing and injection moulding. You understand how manufacturing processes, BOMs, routings, and production planning connect to inventory, cost, and on-time delivery. Experience with forecasting and demand analysis is important for this role. * The technical skills. You bring strong knowledge of BOMs, routings, and MRP, along with experience using ERP systems to maintain item masters and production data. You are proficient with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, and can use data to support planning, reporting, and process improvement. * The analytical approach. You can review technical information, identify discrepancies, assess the impact of changes, and translate findings into accurate process plans. You understand lean manufacturing principles, including capacity analysis and line balancing, and are motivated to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. * The collaboration skills. You communicate clearly with Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, and other stakeholders to coordinate changes, resolve issues, and keep plans moving forward. You can work independently, manage competing priorities, and take initiative while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. * The additional knowledge. Experience with process improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, or PDCA is an asset. A diploma in APICS CPIM or a Supply Chain Management certification is also an asset. Compensation: The salary range for this role is $60,000-$64,000. Compensation is thoughtfully determined based on your experience, skill set, and alignment with our internal compensation framework.
