Operating with a vision of becoming the preferred contract manufacturing partner for pharmaceutical companies worldwide, Birgi Mefar Group is looking for a Purchasing Executive to join its team.  Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8–10 years of procurement experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or manufacturing industries. Proven experience in leading and managing procurement teams. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in both direct and indirect procurement. Experience in procurement budgeting and budget management. Experience with SAP. Good command of English, both written and spoken. Strong negotiation, analytical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a results-oriented mindset. Key Responsibilities Manage and actively participate in direct and indirect procurement processes to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Prepare, monitor, and manage the procurement budget, ensuring achievement of budget targets. Develop and implement cost-saving and process efficiency initiatives. Lead commercial negotiations with local and international suppliers, including pricing, contracts, and payment terms. Develop sourcing strategies, identify alternative supply sources, and manage supply risks. Manage supplier selection, segmentation, qualification, and performance evaluation processes. Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Technical departments to ensure timely procurement of required materials and services. Ensure procurement activities comply with GMP requirements, quality standards, and company policies and procedures. Lead, develop, and manage the procurement team, including workload distribution, performance management, and employee development. Monitor procurement KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes.
