At Belvedere Trading, Quantitative Trading Interns are some of the industry’s highly motivated most quantitative problem solvers. They have a love for financial markets and enjoy working in teams to learn about various trading concepts. Our Quantitative Trading Interns participate in a hands-on rotation between Belvedere’s trading desks and collaborate with Developers and Strategists in research to improve our trading systems. WHAT OUR QUANTITATIVE TRADING INTERNS DO * Daily trading activities – Assist with analyzing daily trades and recapping significant trends  * Rotations – Rotate between product groups to gain a broad understanding and knowledge of the market and Belvedere’s trading strategies  * Desk strategy – Engage in daily collaborative strategy adjustments with your team to adapt to market dynamics  * Research – Participate in quantitative research and the application of quantitative strategies while learning concepts behind our core market making operations  * Data Analysis – Analyze extensive datasets to extract insights that bolster our trading strategies  * Training – Benefit from our industry-leading BTU program, complemented by ongoing practical training within our trading operations, covering a spectrum from foundational knowledge to advanced proprietary concepts.  KEY QUALITIES IN GREAT CANDIDATES * Curious – We'll teach you everything you need to know, but we love working with people who ask questions and are eager to get involved  * Communication – We need people who can speak confidently and concisely especially when the stakes are high  * Analytical – We’re looking for quantitative thinkers and master problem-solvers with strong data analysis skills  * Team Player – Trading and development are not isolated activities at Belvedere, so great candidates will have demonstrated success in working in team-based environments  * AI Fluency – Effectively use AI tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining independent judgement and critical thinking    * Core development skills – You will need some training or a demonstrated ability to learn programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python  * Knowledge of the financial markets and trading industry isn’t required, but it is a plus!   * Regular attendance is an essential function of this position  * Ability to live in Chicago and attend the internship fully in person during the summer of 2027   * Graduation date of December 2027/Spring 2028  Women and underrepresented groups frequently apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications.
