About the Organization: The Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle (BANAC) is an Indigenous governed, Indigenous led regional social planning and development organization. The BANAC service region now covers Simcoe County, Muskoka, and York region. BANAC works in cooperation with Indigenous communities and non-Indigenous organizations to address community-identified priorities through coordinated planning, implementation and evaluation. BANAC has a mandate to support the continued promotion of Indigenous lifelong learning and community wellness through self-determination and community participation.    BANAC offers many innovative programs and services including Aging Well Senior Supports, Bebminot Family Wellness, the Biinoojinsauk Child Care Centre, Maapii Enjii Zaagi Gaazwad and the Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin Indigenous Interprofessional Primary Care Team.  Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin offers a wholistic approach to wellness that includes traditional healing practices in primary care, community clinics, addiction and recovery services, counselling programs, midwifery, land-based healing programs, and community health promotion.  About the Role: This position operates within an Indigenous-led and Indigenous-governed organization that is accountable to the communities it serves. The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is a key position within our interprofessional primary care team providing nursing care and medical administrative support. The successful candidate will provide direct clinical nursing services within their scope of practice while also supporting the efficient operation of the clinic through administrative and clerical tasks.   The Foot Care Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides focused foot assessments, preventive care, and basic nail care in a primary care setting. Working within CNO standards and individual competence, the RPN supports chronic disease management with an emphasis on early risk identification, lower limb preservation, and client education to prevent complications.   This role is ideal for an RPN who thrives in a collaborative, client-centered, and community-focused environment and who brings strong organizational and communication skills to both patient care and office management.   This position is being posted in response to an existing vacancy at the Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle.   What You Bring: * Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN). * Completion of an RPN program from a recognized institution. * Certification in Basic Foot Care (recognized training program). * Knowledge of lower limb and chronic disease management interventions. * Foot care and nail care experience required. * Training or experience in Medical Office Administration preferred (certificate or equivalent work experience) considered a strong asset. * Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR); experience with Telus Practice Solutions considered a strong asset. * Certification in CPR (Level C) and current immunization record. * At least 1–2 years of experience in a primary care, family health, or community clinic setting is preferred.   Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin welcomes applicants who currently hold the following qualifications, as well as applicants who are interested in and committed to obtaining these qualifications with organizational support upon entering the role.
