Roadway/Transportation Engineer (EIT) Responsibilities: * Performs engineering associated with highway / roadway planning and design including horizontal and vertical geometry, Microstation and/or OpenRoads 3D modeling, retaining wall layouts, quantity calculations, miscellaneous details, and final plan deliverables. * Interprets and applies applicable codes and exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. * Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates engineering work involving conventional practices but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering * Must have passed the FE Exam; registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) is preferred. * 1-4 years of experience as a civil engineer in Transportation/Roadway Design projects * Experience with relevant State DOT and local county/municipality standards is preferred. * Knowledge of PS&E Processes * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D Modeling software Some of our Benefits: * 401k Match: 100% up to 4% of your contributions with immediate vesting + 3% Safe Harbor Contribution with immediate vesting * Merit-Based Bonus Compensation * Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance; BGE contributes to HSA on eligible plans * 9 paid Holidays, including 3 Floating holidays * Personal Time Allowances * 2 to 4 weeks of Vacation, depending on experience-level.
