Salary is commensurate with verification of experience and education level. Opening Date: July 24, 2026 Closing Date: August 15, 2026   SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST ADVISOR  ABOUT HIGH TECH HIGH:  Developed by a coalition of San Diego civic leaders and educators, High Tech High opened in September 2000 as a small public project-based charter school with plans to serve approximately 450 students.  HTH has evolved into an integrated network of thirteen charter schools serving approximately 5,300 students in grades K-12 across three campuses (Point Loma, North County, and Chula Vista). The HTH organization also includes a comprehensive adult learning environment including a Teacher Credentialing Program and the High Tech High Graduate School of Education, offering professional development opportunities serving national and international educators.   JOB DESCRIPTION The School Psychologist Advisor supervises and evaluates school psychologists, provides coaching, feedback and professional development, and participates in employee performance management processes as needed. The School Psychologist Advisor provides leadership, consultation, and behavioral support services across 16 school sites. This role supports school psychologists and multidisciplinary teams in the implementation of best practices related to assessment, behavioral intervention, and special education services.  A primary responsibility of this position is to conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Special Circumstance Instructional Assistance (SCIA) assessments across all 16 schools, while guiding school teams in determining when 1:1 behavioral support is appropriate and necessary to ensure student access, safety, and success. This role will also promote and encourage teams to consider proactive, least-restrictive, and alternative approaches to supporting students through skill-building, environmental supports, staff training, and effective behavioral interventions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide consultation, mentorship, and ongoing support to school psychologists across 16 school sites. * Oversees the recruitment and selection of school psychologists and interns  * Directs the allocation of school psych support across villages. * In collaboration with the site director implement improvement plans and evaluates performance as appropriate.  * Travel to support all HTH schools as necessary. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams regarding complex student cases, assessment planning, eligibility considerations, and behavioral supports. * Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Special Circumstance Instructional Assistance (SCIA) assessments as needed across school sites. * Develop, review, and support implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). * Provide follow-up coaching and training to school teams on effective implementation of BIPs and behavioral support strategies. * Train and support teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers in behavior management, data collection, de-escalation strategies, and evidence-based interventions. * Support compliance with special education laws, regulations, timelines, and documentation requirements. * Facilitate collaboration between school teams, families, and outside providers to support student success. * Analyze behavioral and assessment data to guide interventions and recommendations. * Participate in IEP meetings and provide guidance regarding behavioral and psychological services. * Support development of consistent behavioral systems and practices across school sites. * Knowledge of the RISE evaluation process  * Participate in other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS * PPS credential  * Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a school psychologist preferred. * Experience conducting FBAs, developing BIPs, and supporting students with significant behavioral needs. * Knowledge of special education law, behavioral intervention practices, and assessment procedures. * Strong consultation, collaboration, and leadership skills. * Experience providing professional development and staff training preferred. * Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently across multiple school sites.
