Location: Johannesburg or Cape Town, South Africa Work Type: Remote   ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY CorePlan is a fast-growing Perth-based SaaS startup transforming how mining and drilling operations run through our modern digital drilling management platform. As we expand across EMEA, we are looking for a high-performing Senior Account Executive with a proven ability to build pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting and convert new opportunities into long-term customers. This is a hands-on new business role for someone who is comfortable creating opportunities, not simply managing inbound leads. You will identify target accounts, engage senior decision-makers, run strategic outbound campaigns, and own the sales cycle from first contact through to close.   THE ROLE As Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating pipeline and winning new business across the EMEA region. A significant part of the role involves proactive outbound selling, including researching target accounts, identifying buying signals, developing account-specific messaging, and engaging multiple stakeholders through email, phone, LinkedIn, events, and industry networks. You will own the end-to-end sales cycle using CorePlan’s sales methodology, from initial prospecting and qualification through discovery, demonstrations, commercial negotiations, and close. You will also maintain accurate pipeline data, stay informed about industry trends, and represent CorePlan at customer and industry events. WHAT YOU WILL DO * Build and manage a healthy new-business pipeline through consistent, high-quality outbound prospecting. * Identify and research target accounts, key decision-makers, operational challenges, and relevant buying signals. * Develop and execute tailored, multi-channel outbound campaigns using email, phone, LinkedIn, events, referrals, and industry networks. * Create opportunities within new accounts and engage technical, operational, and executive-level stakeholders. * Manage the full sales cycle from discovery to close with a consultative, SPICED-driven approach. * Prospect, qualify, and nurture leads using CorePlan’s target lists and industry insights. * Conduct structured discovery to uncover operational challenges and align tailored drilling management solutions. * Deliver compelling demos to technical, operational, and executive-level stakeholders. * Maintain strong sales velocity while navigating longer, multi-stakeholder cycles typical in mining and industrial operations. * Mentor and support team members by sharing best practices and elevating sales execution. * Analyze pipeline and deal data to increase win rates and improve forecasting accuracy. * Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure a seamless buyer journey and customer experience. * Represent CorePlan at conferences, tradeshows, and customer-facing events across the EMEA Region.   WHAT YOU’LL BRING Essential * 5+ years experience in B2B SaaS sales * Demonstrated success generating your own pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting. * Experience developing and executing targeted, multi-channel outbound campaigns. * Confidence engaging senior decision-makers through cold outreach * Proven success in mid-market or multi-stakeholder sales cycles. * Consistent track record of exceeding annual quotas. * Strong discovery, presentation, and closing abilities with a consultative mindset. * Proficiency with SPICED, MEDDIC, Challenger, SPIN, or similar methodologies. * Experience mentoring or informally leading peers. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desirable * Exposure to drilling and workflows is highly advantageous.   WHY THIS ROLE? * Sell a platform that delivers operational gains to a high-value industry - CorePlan helps mining and drilling contractors lift visibility, reduce admin, and streamline operations early in their journey * Own the full sales cycle - from prospecting to closing * High-growth startup environment transforming mining and drilling operations * Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, and Customer teams * Industry-facing presence at tradeshows, conferences, and customer events
