Job Summary The Yardi SME/Process Lead serves as the functional expert on Yardi system implementations, guiding business process design, system configuration decisions, and end-user adoption. This role owns the "how" of the system for their assigned modules — ensuring Yardi is configured to reflect best-practice business processes, that legacy workflows are optimized in the new system, and that the organization is fully prepared to operate in Yardi post-go-live. This role requires deep hands-on Yardi knowledge combined with strong business process and change-management instincts. Key Responsibilities * Serve as the primary functional/process authority on Yardi for the implementation, advising the project team and leadership on best practices and system capabilities * Lead or contribute heavily to the business process review (BPR): document current-state workflows, identify gaps, and define future-state processes aligned to Yardi's functionality * Translate business requirements into Yardi configuration decisions (chart of accounts, property/entity setup, workflows, reporting structures, security roles, etc.) * Partner with the project manager and technical team on solution design, module configuration, and system setup decisions * Lead or support data conversion scoping: define data points to convert, historical depth, and legacy-to-Yardi field mapping; advise business on validation of converted data for accuracy * Design and lead the conference room pilot (CRP) * Own user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and execution, ensuring test scripts reflect real business scenarios and sign-off criteria are met * Develop and deliver core team and end-user training materials, quick cards, and process documentation * Identify process inefficiencies or risks in current workflows and recommend improvements tactfully and effectively to stakeholders * Provide go-live and post-go-live hypercare support, troubleshooting functional/process issues and reinforcing correct system use * Act as a bridge between end users, IT/technical resources, and Yardi to resolve functional questions and escalate product limitations * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Yardi releases, modules, and industry best practices Required Qualifications * Demonstrated hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager and/or related modules (e.g., Investment Accounting, Procure to Pay, Construction Manager, Debt Manager, etc.), gained through prior implementations, super-user, or systems administration roles * Strong understanding of real estate/property management business processes: accounting, leasing, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, and reporting * Prior involvement in at least one full-cycle Yardi implementation, upgrade, or major configuration project * Experience designing and facilitating conference room pilots and UAT * Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose process gaps and recommend practical, system-supported solutions * Excellent documentation skills — able to produce clear process maps, configuration workbooks, and training materials * Strong communication and facilitation skills; comfortable working directly with end users, finance/operations leadership, and technical teams * Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, accounting, or related field, or equivalent practical experience * Experience with data conversion/validation for real estate systems is a plus Core Competencies * Deep functional/product expertise paired with pragmatic business judgment * Strong process-design and documentation orientation * Effective teacher/trainer who can build organizational capability, not just configure a system * Detail-oriented, especially around data accuracy and testing rigor * Diplomatic communicator who can challenge existing processes without alienating stakeholders Compensation and Benefits * Learning and development: Vast opportunities to self-development, unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning * Flexible working: Work-life balance with flexible schedule * Community events: We offer a range of social events and meetups * 25 days’ holiday in addition to public holidays * Supplemented medical, dental and vision coverage * 401(k) with employer match * Wellness initiatives to promote healthy working, including an allowance for remote working technology * Access to discounted travel, tickets, events, and more through our benefit partner There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the salary range is $100,000 – $140,000 USD for US based hires and $120,000 – $160,000 CAD for Toronto based hires, subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, candidates will be eligible for a variable bonus.
