Senior Engineer, Applications & Platforms JOB REQUIREMENTS Experience Range: With at least 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in SAP infrastructure and AWS cloud engineering, including practical exposure to automation and high availability solutions Key Responsibilities: * Manage and optimize SAP infrastructure, applications, and databases hosted on AWS Cloud, ensuring high availability and performance metrics are consistently met * Administer SAP environments across development, QA, UAT, and production, executing regular maintenance, upgrades, and performance reviews * Configure and monitor AWS compute, storage, networking, and backup components supporting SAP workloads, proactively identifying and resolving issues * Perform Linux/RHEL and Windows Server administration, including patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for SAP systems * Implement and maintain SAP High Availability solutions using Pacemaker clustering, supporting disaster recovery and replication strategies * Support SAP HANA and Sybase database environments, managing backup/recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure data integrity and uptime * Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python and Bash/Shell to streamline infrastructure management and operational workflows * Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, collaborating with SAP Basis, DBA, Cloud, DevOps, Security, and Application teams Required Skills: * AWS Cloud * SAP on AWS * Linux/RHEL administration * Pacemaker clustering * Python * Bash/Shell * Terraform * SAP HANA * Sybase * Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Preferred Skills: * HANA database performance tuning * Sybase/ASE advanced administration * GenAI, LLMs, MCP, RAG, prompt engineering * Ansible * CI/CD pipeline development * Advanced OS performance tuning * Grafana for monitoring and observability Desired Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline * AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator * SAP Certified Technology Associate or relevant SAP certification Additional Information: This is a full-time position requiring hands-on expertise in AWS, SAP on AWS, Linux/RHEL, Pacemaker, Python/Bash, and Terraform. Exposure to HANA/Sybase, GenAI/LLM, MCP, RAG, and prompt engineering is considered a differentiator.
