THE TEAM The Operations team is a key partner in enabling Biohub’s pioneering work to combine frontier AI with frontier biology to solve disease and Learning Commons’ mission to build AI infrastructure that aligns how students learn with the tools that shape their learning experiences. Operations includes our Central Tech, Finance, Marketing & Communications, People, and Real Estate / Workplace / Events / Facilities / Security (REWFS) teams. Together, these teams create the systems, programs, and experiences that empower our partners and colleagues across Biohub and Learning Commons to drive impact. This work requires strategic and operational rigor, creativity, and deep collaboration. Whether designing world-class employee experiences, safeguarding data and infrastructure, or shaping how we communicate our impact, Operations plays a critical role in helping deliver meaningful change at scale. THE OPPORTUNITY Our Central Tech team provides technology and security support for CZI and our grantees. We believe that Engineering, IT and Security are most effective when in sync and learning from each other on a daily basis. Across our three pillars of Infrastructure, Security, and Grantee & Partner Support, we enable our teams to achieve their goals faster and more securely. We leverage technology to automate manual processes, constantly innovate to optimize operations, provide first-class support, and build solutions to enable the scale and execution of our business partners' strategies and initiatives. As a Senior Enterprise Systems Analyst, you will lead Salesforce platform initiatives end-to-end — from strategy and requirements through delivery and governance. This role requires both strong program management skills and hands-on Salesforce expertise, working across the Central Technology Team, stakeholders, and external partners to improve processes, enhance user experience, and drive innovation. WHAT YOU'LL DO Program & Project Management * Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex Salesforce platform initiatives, coordinating across IT, business units, and external partners. * Own and maintain the platform roadmap, prioritizing competing business unit requests using structured frameworks. * Define and track platform success metrics (adoption rates, user satisfaction, cycle time) to demonstrate impact and guide roadmap decisions. * Communicate tradeoffs and priorities clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Solution Development and Delivery * Lead the design, configuration, and development of Salesforce solutions, translating business needs into technical specifications. * Perform hands-on configuration, testing, and QA, resolving bugs and supporting smooth release and deployment. * Leverage Agentforce and Einstein AI to automate workflows, surface insights, and improve the internal user experience. * Maintain technical documentation and drive continuous improvement based on feedback. Stakeholder Management & Communication * Serve as a trusted advisor and central point of contact across business, technical, and vendor stakeholders. * Gather requirements, define project goals, and secure alignment across teams and the technology roadmap. * Maintain a regular product communication cadence (release notes, feature announcements, platform updates) to drive awareness and adoption. * Provide ongoing updates and manage expectations at all organizational levels. Platform Governance & Strategy * Stay current on Salesforce releases and emerging capabilities (AI, Agentforce, Data Cloud), incorporating relevant features into platform strategy. * Maintain Salesforce certifications and share new capabilities with the internal team. * Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and security standards, minimizing technical debt. * Partner with stakeholders to identify AI automation opportunities and govern Agentforce agent deployment with security, legal, and leadership. Risk & Compliance Management * Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for Salesforce-related programs. * Ensure adherence to compliance, data security, and governance policies. * Manage vendor relationships and ensure SLAs are met. WHAT YOU'LL BRING * 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, administering, and supporting large-scale Salesforce solutions, with deep expertise across Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Service Cloud. * Salesforce Administrator Certification required, with advanced proficiency in Salesforce Flow. * Proven experience managing complex technical programs, translating business needs into scalable solutions, and leading change management through training, enablement, and rollout communications. * Ability to translate organizational strategy into a clear platform vision and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. * Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Airtable. * Experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to accelerate discovery and decision-making. * Experience with Agentforce, Einstein AI, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, CRM Analytics, user research, and AI governance is a plus. * Experience with Conga Contracts (Composer, Orchestrate), DocuSign integrations, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, GitHub, Gearset, Qualtrics, DocuSign Administration, or the philanthropy and grantmaking sector is a plus. COMPENSATION The Redwood City, CA base pay range for a new hire in this role is $171,000 - $235,000. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. Actual placement in range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process. This position may be eligible to participate in our discretionary annual performance bonus program. Bonus eligibility and targets are determined in accordance with our total rewards philosophy and may vary by role. This role is a hybrid position requiring you to be onsite for at least 60% of the working month, approximately 3 days a week, with specific in-office days determined by the team’s manager.
