ELEKS Software Engineering & Development Office is looking for a Senior Java/AI Developer based in Buenos Aires for a hybrid position: 2–3 days per week onsite at our local office, with the remaining days remote. Working hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00/7:00 PM ART    ABOUT PROJECT  The client is among the top-5 health insurance companies in the US. They are dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, cost-effective health care and equipping their members with information and tools so they can make the best health care decisions for themselves and their families. REQUIREMENTS * 5+ years of professional experience in Java and/or Python * Hands-on experience working with LLMs (integration, evaluation, or architecture) * Practical experience with prompt engineering * Understanding of API design and backend service development   NICE TO HAVE Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures Experience with vector databases and embeddings Cloud AI services experience (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, etc.) MLOps or LLMOps exposure RESPONSIBILITIES * Design and build AI-powered features and services using LLMs * Develop and maintain backend components in Java and/or Python * Implement prompt engineering strategies and evaluate model outputs * Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing applications * Stay current with emerging LLM tooling, frameworks, and best practices * Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery practices
