The Role: This is an opportunity to take on a role within a rapidly growing global software investor. As Senior Manager, Business Development, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing a pipeline across an entire vertical or large sub-vertical, identifying, researching, and evaluating software companies that align with Banyan’s investment criteria. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Development, you will proactively engage business owners through email, phone, and conferences to build trusted relationships and drive qualified opportunities into the M&A pipeline. You will collaborate cross-functionally to share insights, refine sourcing strategies, and leverage Banyan’s tools to improve effectiveness. This role requires strong CRM discipline, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of key metrics in Salesforce and other systems, as well as the ability to lead pipeline reviews, identify bottlenecks, and ensure smooth handoffs to M&A.
