Based on the specific needs and job requirements, this role will be working out of our Bombas HQ in New York City. ABOUT THE JOB: We are looking for a razor-sharp, team-player to join our Merchandising team as our Sr. Merchandising Associate. This role reports directly to our Merchandising Manager, and supports our Intimates and Apparel departments. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in retail merchandising or a similar role. As a Sr. Merchandising Associate, you will work cross functionally with Design, Sourcing, and Planning teams to drive the future product strategy for our growing business. This position will also coordinate with other cross functional partners such as Site Merchandising, Creative, and Marketing teams to make sure the product comes to life across all touch points. WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: * Own ideation and execution of all seasonal Line Plans for our Intimates and Apparel departments including high level strategy, product assortment & forecasting * Own assortment end to end for Intimates and Apparel including all doc maintenance and assortment change communication with support of Merchandising Assistant * Lead Weekly Cross-Functional Team meetings for your department * Analyze and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reporting for assigned departments ; translate data into clear insights, identify key drivers, and recommend actionable next steps. * Accountable for seasonal Product Launch Doc and PLM deliverables with support of the Merchandising Assistant * Own collaboration with Site Merch on product launch process & site order strategy * Own entering product for calendarized email sends * Owns and manages copy requests with Creative * Understand competitive environment; proactively seek market knowledge through exposure to competitive retail outlets and brands * Accountable for Biannual Market Comp Research with support of Merchandising Assistant * Collaborate with Wholesale team to support our Wholesale accounts * Assist Merchandising Manager in working with Design and Sourcing to develop the product assortment, merchandise point of view, wholesale strategies, and key item positioning, ensuring that the collection is compelling, commercially viable and supports overall business objectives to meet or exceed financial goals and customer expectations for each season * Consistently evaluate processes to find efficiencies including incorporating AI in day to day work * WHAT WE’LL LOVE ABOUT YOU: * Analytical ability to synthesize data to understand business trends and provide forward-thinking insight * Proven track record of owning deliverables end-to-end in a fast-paced environment * Creative and excited about working cross-functionally across various departments, fostering strong partnerships with other members of the cross-functional team (Design, Sourcing, Planning, Marketing) and brand counterparts * A love for product * Strong prioritization and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple seasons at once * A team player who is willing and happy to help * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Belief in our mission and understand the importance of giving-back * Inquisitive, love to learn, embrace failure, and never give up * Comfortable staying focused while working in any type of environment WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT US: * We are a team of smart, interesting, diverse, funny, and loving people. * We offer competitive compensation, employer paid health, medical and dental benefits, 401k with match, paid parental leave, snacks, socks and a fun, relaxed office environment. * We take the responsibility to make sure you are excited, happy, and find fulfillment in your work very seriously. * We value fun. WHAT YOU’LL BRING: * 3-5+ years of experience in retail buying and/or merchandising, preferred * Experience in Intimates and/or Apparel a plus * Working knowledge of retail financial measurements * Working experience with Design and Sourcing teams * G-Suite and Excel proficient * Strong product sensibility Bombas is committed to delivering competitive and equitable pay for our employees. The pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $75,000 and $85,000/year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market factors, and business need. The Bombas total rewards package offered for this position may also include other elements, such as annual bonus and equity target award opportunities as well as medical, financial, and well-being benefits.
