Site Coordinator: Full-Time Position Position Overview The Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily coordination and successful operation of an assigned after-school or summer program site. This position provides leadership to program staff, ensures high-quality academic and enrichment programming, maintains compliance with organizational and funding requirements, and serves as the primary liaison between the organization, school administration, families, and community partners. The Site Coordinator oversees daily site operations, supports instructional quality, monitors student attendance and performance, maintains accurate program documentation, and fosters a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment. This role works closely with the Program Director and Instructional Coach to ensure all programming aligns with organizational goals, school priorities, and student needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Leadership & Operations * Coordinate the daily operation of the assigned program site. * Ensure all academic, enrichment, and recreational activities are implemented with fidelity. * Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment for students and staff. * Monitor daily schedules, transitions, and program flow to maximize instructional time. * Ensure compliance with organizational policies, grant requirements, licensing standards, and school procedures. * Conduct routine site observations and address operational needs promptly. Staff Leadership & Supervision * Assist with onboarding and training program staff. * Supervise, coach, and support site staff to promote high-quality program delivery. * Monitor staff attendance, performance, and professional conduct. * Coordinate staff schedules to ensure appropriate supervision ratios and program coverage. * Facilitate regular staff meetings and provide ongoing feedback and professional support. Academic & Program Coordination * Collaborate with the Instructional Coach to ensure academic instruction aligns with school-day curriculum and student needs. * Support implementation of reading, math, STEM, and enrichment programming. * Monitor lesson implementation and instructional quality. * Coordinate special events, family engagement activities, field trips, and enrichment experiences. Student Services & Behavior Support * Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered program culture. * Support positive behavior management practices and restorative approaches. * Work collaboratively with staff and families to address student behavioral and academic concerns. * Ensure student safety through active supervision and adherence to all safety procedures. Data Management & Compliance * Maintain accurate student attendance, enrollment, and program records. * Collect, organize, and submit required program documentation and reports. * Monitor internal and external data systems to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Assist with program evaluations and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Family & School Partnerships * Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, guardians, and school personnel. * Develop positive relationships with school administrators, teachers, and community partners. * Communicate program updates, student progress, and important information to families. * Address parent concerns professionally and in a timely manner. Administrative Responsibilities * Monitor inventory and ensure proper use of instructional materials, supplies, and technology. * Maintain organized site records and documentation. * Assist with budget monitoring and supply requests. * Support organizational initiatives and special projects as assigned. Additional Responsibilities * Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. * Support organization-wide events and initiatives. * Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of Big Ideas Educational Services. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field preferred. * Minimum of two (2) years of experience coordinating educational, youth development, or after-school programs. * Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. * Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Experience working with elementary-aged students in an educational setting. * Knowledge of classroom management and positive behavior support strategies. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based data management systems. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Commitment to educational equity, student achievement, and high-quality youth programming. Preferred Skills * Knowledge of 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC), Children's Trust, or other grant-funded programs. * Experience with student data systems and attendance reporting. * Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) preferred. * CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain. * Florida DCF Child Care Training and Director Credential (or willingness to obtain, if applicable).
