As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you'll provide one-on-one therapy in children's homes, building meaningful relationships with patients and families while helping children improve their communication, feeding, and swallowing skills. SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT (SLPA) – QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide pediatric speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). * Implement individualized treatment plans to address: * Speech disorders * Language delays * Articulation and phonological disorders * Feeding and swallowing challenges * Social communication skills * Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment updates to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. * Educate and support parents and caregivers with home programs and therapeutic strategies. * Complete accurate and timely documentation. * Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, family-centered care. * Build positive, lasting relationships with children and their families through compassionate, one-on-one care. QUALIFICATIONS * Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program. * Current Texas SLPA license (or eligible to obtain prior to start date). * One year of experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply. * Pediatric experience preferred. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required. * Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. * Passion for helping children achieve their communication goals.
