Job Summary: Substitute teachers perform the instructional and classroom management processes for Covenant teachers who are absent. They are required to be a fully devoted Christian who will interact with students, staff, and faculty through a Christian worldview and in full support of our mission, vision, and core values.  Supervisory Responsibilities: * None Duties/Responsibilities: * Implement and teach lesson plans and instructions as directed by the absent Covenant teacher * Maintain a clean, respectful, and orderly classroom * Follow classroom and school procedures * Keep records on attendance, accidents and incidents * Ensure the safety of students at all times * Submit your Substitute Teacher Classroom Report at the end of the teaching day   Required Skills/Abilities:  * Must be detail oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * The ability to remain patient and approachable while also monitoring an orderly classroom Education and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent qualification required * Bachelor's degree preferred  * A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role is preferred Physical Requirements:  * Frequent walking/standing * Ability to lift up to approximately 30 pounds may be required
