The Technical Sales Solutions Engineer plays a key role in coordinating bid preparations through the execution of design activities and the preparation of complete submission documentation in a timely manner. Combining technical expertise with a strong commercial mindset, this role focuses on delivering tailored solutions for firefighting and fire compartmentation systems, including sprinkler systems, gaseous suppression systems, and fire doors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong sales abilities, a proactive problem-solving approach, high attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to support the goals of the Commercial Department and work effectively within a dynamic engineering team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Technical and Commercial Solutions * Design technically sound and cost-effective solutions that align with client requirements and budget limitations. * Review customer inquiries and develop feasible, well-costed proposals. * Define and implement order-winning strategies. * Analyse administrative, commercial, and technical tender specifications. * Prepare detailed responses to enquiry documentation and provide timely clarifications. * Conduct value-engineering designs to optimise solutions. * Ensure all tender aspects are reviewed and properly addressed. 2. Site Assessment * Perform site visits and inspections to assess feasibility and identify potential project risks. 3. Quality Control * Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. * Oversee internal processes and working environments to maintain high-quality service delivery. * Enforce adherence to company SOPs and quality standards (ISO, LPCB, etc.). * Maintain accurate records and document sorting, including client approvals. 4. Discipline * Address disciplinary matters within the team when required. * Lead by example through professional conduct and accountability. 5. Customer Service * Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction across all project stages. * Ensure proactive and effective communication with clients, suppliers, and colleagues. * Deliver flexible and supportive service to encourage client retention and repeat business. * Provide clear and constructive feedback as needed. Note: The responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive and may evolve over time based on business needs. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE * Preferably Degree Qualified (within Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent. * Preferably holder of Maltese engineering warrant or working towards the warrant. * Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role. * Prior experience in fire safety and security systems. * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred). * Valid Maltese driving licence.
