Responsibilities: * Supervises engineering interns, EITs, designers, technicians and others. * Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates engineering work involving conventional practices but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements. * Performs engineering associated with highway planning and design including horizontal and vertical geometry, OpenRoads 3D modeling, retaining wall layouts, quantity calculations, miscellaneous details, and final plan deliverables. * Interprets and applies applicable codes and exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in civil engineering * Registered PE in Texas * TxDOT Experience * Knowledge of PS&E Processes * 4-8 years of professional experience * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong computer skills * Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D Modeling software BGE is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
