Animal Specialty Center (ASC), a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital in Yonkers, NY, is seeking compassionate, motivated Veterinary Assistants to join our team. Qualifications * High school diploma or GED required * Veterinary experience pr * Veterinary Assistant preferred but not required * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Ability to lift up to 40 pounds * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods Key Responsibilities * Safely handle and restrain patients * Assist veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians with patient care and treatments * Monitor and record patient information and vital signs * Perform laboratory diagnostics and assist with imaging procedures * Communicate with clients as directed * Maintain cleanliness, organization, inventory, and equipment throughout the hospital * Make and present estimates to clients for diagnostics, treatments, and/or hospitalization * Communicate with pharmacies regarding patient prescriptions as directed by veterinarians.
