What You’ll Do We’re looking for an experienced team leader to oversee the Integrated Marketing team that supports commercial and personal activities of the David Beckham brand encompassing comprehensive proactive and reactive communications work, social and digital communication strategies and programmes. Reporting to the Executive Director, David Beckham, this person will have oversight across integrated marketing communications plans for DB’s commercial partnerships, owned business, philanthropic work, global platforms and social media channels. This role is a fixed term maternity cover. * Lead an integrated marketing team made up of communications, PR, social and digital * Liaise closely with internal creative and brand partnership teams * Create and elevated communications strategies principally for DB and DB’s brand partners whilst also extending to other Authentic Brands Group (Authentic) Entertainment brands in EMEA on an ad hoc basis * Drive effective communications schedule across the year - creating hero communications moments that deliver communications excellence * Have strong communications abilities: able to influence at a senior level, internally and externally * Identify and unlock innovative and strategic communications opportunities across multiple platforms and channels with a crisp and clear news sensibility that delivers cut through and impact * Act as brand gatekeeper and representative – have excellent judgement and decision making. Support others across the business in this way. * Support the wider communications needs of the principal’s family where necessary This role requires self-motivation, an ability to make decisions in a fast-moving environment, experience of being able to drive strategic thinking across teams, whilst simultaneously delivering world class, stand out communications moments and must have experience in the worlds of sports, entertainment or with large-scale global brands. What You'll Work On * An understanding of the global media landscape with excellent media handling skills and relationships * The ability to ensure reputational protection of the principal’s brand globally * An understanding of the business’ wider commercial objectives and priorities and how that effects the integrated marketing teams’ roadmap * Strategic focus to reach new audiences around the world * Working in tandem with brand partnerships to find innovative ways to elevate brand output and ensure positive business outcomes * Constant absorption of media, industry, sports, fashion, entertainment and other relevant trade/corporate news developments * Excellent team management and mentorship skills * Ability to influence and thrive at a senior level in a corporate environment * Possible travel at some points in the year although not regular Must Haves: * Minimum 15 years’ experience working in a communications or integrated marketing environment with a proven track record of team management and effective cross-functional team liaison in a sports, entertainment or wider brand context in-house or agency * Experience in world class talent management * Ability to manage a cross-functional marketing team (social, digital and PR) * Excellent media handling skills in a global context * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent project management and organisational skills * Experience in managing multiple communications agencies Fraud Alert: Unauthorized Job Offers and Impersonations We have been made aware of fraudulent job offers and interview requests being sent by individuals falsely claiming to represent Authentic.
