The Administrative & Technical Support Officer plays a dual role, providing administrative support to the MDH Department while also assisting in technical tasks related to electrical systems, particularly within fire safety and security applications. This position requires a mix of organizational skills, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities to ensure smooth office operations and effective technical support.    Key Responsibilities  Administrative Support * Handle office communications, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence.   * Organize meetings, maintain calendars, and coordinate documentation.   * Maintain office records, databases, and filing systems with accuracy and confidentiality.   * Prepare, proofread, and edit reports, memos, and presentations.   * Assist with document management, including contracts, invoices, and financial records.   * Ensure compliance with office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.   * Handle petty cash, invoice processing, and liaise with the finance department.    Technical Assistance & Equipment Maintenance * Assist electrical technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.  * Ensure tools and materials are available and in safe working condition.  * Support the laying and termination of cables, updating technical drawings, and using hand and power tools.  * Carry out inspections and assist in the installation and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.  * Ensure the maintenance and functionality of access control systems for every individual.  * Follow industry and company standards for safety and compliance.    Quality Assurance & Compliance * Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and safety standards for both office administration and technical work.  * Maintain accurate documentation related to technical and administrative operations.  * Identify and report potential hazards, assisting in risk mitigation.  * Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and uniforms.    Brand Image & Customer Satisfaction * Uphold a professional and positive company image in all interactions.  * Ensure quality installations and customer satisfaction, addressing concerns as needed.  * Represent the company in a professional manner during client interactions.    Cross Departmental Support   * Support various departments with administrative needs.  * Perform additional tasks as required to maintain efficient office operations.    The list of ‘Responsibilities’ appearing in this job description is neither necessarily exhaustive nor is any part of this job description permanent.    Required Qualifications & Experience  * Experience in administration preferably in a technical environment.  * Basic knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and safety standards.  * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, office management software, and administrative tools.  * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics is a plus.  * Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage both admin and technical responsibilities.  * Experience in customer service and coordination is beneficial.  * Valid driving license (if required for site visits or technical assistance).    Required Skills & Attributes   Technical Support & Problem-Solving   * Ability to assist in electrical system maintenance and installations.   Organizational & Time Management  * Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize administrative duties.  * High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.    Communication & Customer Service  * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  * Ability to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.  * Maintain confidentiality and build trust with employees and clients.    Technical & Software Proficiency  * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, and document management systems. * Ability to adapt to new office technologies and processes.   Problem-Solving & Decision-Making  * Proactive approach to identifying office management issues and implementing solutions. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.   Company Culture Fit * Embrace and uphold the company's values, mission, policies and procedures. * Demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges. * Strive for continuous improvement and innovation in practice.
