Client Accounting Services Supervisor Canton, Ohio | Full-Time | Hybrid Build Relationships. Lead a Team. Help Clients Understand Their Financial Story. 415 Group is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Client Advisory Services team, known as 415 Access. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building client relationships, overseeing recurring accounting engagements, developing team members, and turning financial information into practical business insights. Experience working with nonprofit organizations and nonprofit accounting is strongly preferred. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our Canton, Ohio office, offering a combination of in-office collaboration and remote work. What You’ll Do * Oversee recurring accounting engagements for multiple clients, including privately held businesses and nonprofit organizations * Build trusted relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients * Review and, when needed, prepare: * General ledger activity and trial balances * Journal entries and adjusting entries * Bank and balance sheet reconciliations * Monthly financial statements and management reports * Ensure client financial records are accurate, complete, and delivered on time * Analyze financial and operational information to identify trends, concerns, and opportunities * Explain financial results clearly and provide practical recommendations to clients * Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and other financial decisions * Review the work of associates and senior associates and provide timely, constructive feedback * Train, mentor, and support team members in their professional development * Maintain organized, complete, and well-documented workpapers * Manage engagement budgets, priorities, deadlines, and client expectations * Identify opportunities to improve workflows, internal controls, technology use, and client processes * Recognize additional ways 415 Access can support clients and communicate those opportunities to firm leadership What We’re Looking For * Five or more years of accounting, outsourced accounting, or full-charge bookkeeping experience * Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close * Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel * Experience managing multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Ability to communicate financial information clearly to clients and team members * Demonstrated ability to review work, provide direction, and hold others accountable * A thoughtful, proactive approach to client service * Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team * Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * Experience in public accounting, client advisory services, or outsourced accounting * Experience providing accounting services to nonprofit organizations * Knowledge of nonprofit financial reporting, fund accounting, restricted contributions, and grant tracking * Previous supervisory, project leadership, or team-development experience * QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and/or payroll certification * Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting What Success Looks Like Successful team members in this position: * Take ownership of client relationships and deliverables * Balance accuracy and attention to detail with timely decision-making * Communicate confidently and proactively with clients * Provide clear direction and constructive feedback to team members * Remain composed while managing competing priorities * Look beyond the numbers to identify meaningful solutions * Adapt processes and approaches as client needs change * Build trust by following through on commitments Our Core Values At 415 Group, our core values guide how we work: * Always Loyal — Never “Not My Job” * Always Learning — Student and Teacher * Always Passionate — Be the Buffalo Why Join 415 Group? * Competitive compensation and opportunities for growth * Full-time, hybrid work schedule * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Life insurance * Short- and long-term disability coverage * 401(k) with company match * Four weeks of paid time off and paid holidays * Ongoing training and professional development * A supportive team culture with room to grow
