With over 25 years of experience on the island, we help connect shippers with buyers and also support other transportation companies in reaching Puerto Rico efficiently. We operate with our own trucks and warehouse space, giving us the ability to handle all types of cargo—whether it's a full container load (FCL) or less-than-container load (LCL). We offer multiple sailings each week, giving you flexible options that meet your schedule. In addition to Puerto Rico, our experienced team can also provide logistics support and competitive rates for destinations around the globe. Our wide range of services includes ocean freight, domestic trucking, drayage, transfers, and warehousing. Note: Eagle Logistics Systems is owned by AJC Logistics, which is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Position Summary: The Logistics Specialist is the primary point of contact for multiple LTL & FTL accounts that are in Puerto Rico. You will provide solutions to help manage a variety of freight that will go through the steamship line's services. In addition, you will build relationships with current and new customers by providing excellent customer service and logistics knowledge through the booking process of ocean containers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing daily operational responsibilities with minimal supervision. This role requires the ability to identify operational issues, prioritize tasks effectively, and proactively provide solutions   Responsibilities: * Manage the process of LTL & FTL business (Quoting, Dispatching, Tracking, and Billing). * Provide exceptional customer service while building relationships with new and existing customers. * Manage all inquiries and requests in a timely manner. * Administer and create files with all booking necessary information (Purchase Order, Booking, Container Size, Temperature, Sail Date, etc.). * Verify all receiving documents daily and compare them with the product received at the warehouse. * Work hand in hand with the receiving team, addressing any differences between the receiving documents and the product received. * Organize booking requests with steamship lines through different means of communication. * Manage and maintain all inventory onsite by planning, verifying appointments, and providing visibility to customers. * Send customers a daily on-hand inventory report and appointment schedule. * Ensure customer is up to date on all product discrepancies received (damage, shortage, and overage). * Prepare all loading plans based on customer’s instructions and approved weight and/or cubes. * Provide recommendations on loading customer freight. * Recommend solutions to customers according to commodity. * Assist with the operations for FTL (Dispatching, Tracking, and Documentation). * Supply manifest with final loading information to the customer. * Coordinate with the trucking company in PR the delivery of the RLT orders to the customers. * Perform any tasks or responsibilities assigned by management. Requirements:   * 1–2 years of experience in logistics, including 3PL, warehouse operations, transportation, or freight forwarding, is preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered in place of a college degree. * Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, and Word). * Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, team environment. * Flexibility to be on call as customers’ needs arise. * Candidate must be able to speak, read, and write in English & Spanish fluently. * Ability to work across two locations on a split weekly schedule (10 minutes apart). Skills:   * Strong attention to detail to accomplish tasks thoroughly and accurately. * Effective customer service skills set. * Ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize effectively. * Must be able to meet deadlines easily. * Clear verbal and communications skills. * Ability to multi-task. * Ability to analyze information.
