What You’ll Do You’ll be a key member of our team, preparing accurate, competitive estimates that help secure exciting commercial and municipal projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents * Performing electrical quantity takeoffs * Developing detailed labor and material estimates * Soliciting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor pricing * Preparing complete bid packages and proposals * Attending site visits and pre-bid meetings * Identifying project risks and value-engineering opportunities * Working closely with Project Managers through project handoff * Assisting with change orders and project budgeting * Building strong relationships with customers, vendors, engineers, and general contractors What You’ll Bring Required * 3+ years of estimating experience in electrical construction, lighting, low voltage, fire alarm, security systems, or related construction trades * Ability to read blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications * Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction practices * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills * Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook & Word) * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines * OSHA 30 and SST certifications (or ability to maintain required certifications) Preferred * Construction Management or Engineering degree * Experience with commercial electrical construction and lighting projects * Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes * Experience using estimating software * Design-Build or Design-Assist experience Why Estimators Choose Candela Systems We know talented estimators have options.
