Position Overview The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to support accurate and timely diagnosis. This role is essential in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care—especially during overnight hours when it matters most. Position Details * Employment Type: Full-Time * Shift: (schedule varies) * Department: Imaging * Location: Ashe Memorial Hospital, West Jefferson, NC * On-Call: Required * Compensation: Competitive; commensurate with experience * Incentive: Commitment bonus available Key Responsibilities * Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols * Ensure accurate patient positioning and selection of appropriate imaging parameters * Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation * Administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for reactions * Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout procedures * Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary care teams * Support additional radiology services as needed * Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to quality control standards * Document procedures accurately in accordance with regulatory requirements Minimum Qualifications * Certification: ARRT (CT) registered or registry-eligible * Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program * Certification: Current CPR certification – required * Experience: CT experience preferred; strong candidates with relevant training will be considered Core Competencies * Strong technical and imaging skills * Attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy * Ability to work independently in a night shift environment * Effective communication and patient care skills * Professionalism and accountability Employment Requirements * Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered) * Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer) Benefits Comprehensive benefits begin the first of the month following employment, in accordance with hospital policy.
