JOB SPECIFICATIONS: * Must possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.  * Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in order to communicate effectively and tactfully with staff, patients and the general public.  * Must be able to maintain confidentiality of patient information.  * Initial contact with patients for admission to WRH Behavioral Health Care Units * Preadmission assessment of the clinical status of patient referrals and evaluations of patient's needs: Medical Clearance, Insurance Clearance, Psychiatric Clearance. * Serves as an educational resource for patients, families, hospitals and healthcare professionals upon admission to WRH Mental Health Care Units. * Liaison between WRH Emergency department and Behavioral Health Care Units. * Actively assist the referring facilities in addressing requirements of mental health patients to WRH Behavioral Health Care Units. * Establish relationships with community and healthcare facilities, provides education across the continuum of WRH Behavioral Health Care Units.
