Location: Lansdowne, VA Team Overview The Legal Administrative Assistant is a vital part of the US Legal Advocacy Team and will be responsible for assisting your assigned team members in a variety of administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities * Act in a confidential capacity while anticipating and supporting the needs of assigned attorneys and team members. * Manage clerical responsibilities and special projects with direct supervision, including maintaining case files in the Litigation database and electronic document management systems. * Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents, correspondence, binders (pleadings and research), basic court filings (including CM/ECF), pro hac vice motions, court admissions paperwork, and presentations, reports, and organizational charts. * Coordinate administrative functions, including managing Outlook calendars, scheduling meetings and events, arranging travel itineraries, maintaining office supplies/IT support, and serving as backup for other assistants. * Process operational tasks such as reconciling purchase card expenses, submitting invoices and vouchers, preparing shipping labels and packages (UPS/FedEx), and handling faxing, scanning, copying, and collating legal documents and exhibits. * Create, maintain, and organize hard-copy and electronic files while preparing client, court, and attorney correspondence and ensuring proper filing of court documents. Minimum Qualifications * 1+ years of legal administrative experience. * Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
