We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician II to help maintain our health centers and administrative facilities. In this role, you will perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and renovation projects while ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent customer service skills, and hands-on experience in multiple building trades. IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL GET TO: Work independently in clinic and office environments to resolve maintenance issues and complete assigned projects. Coordinate with, supervise, and monitor outside contractors and service vendors when needed. Perform carpentry repairs and installations, including doors, cabinets, drawers, fencing, and related building components. Complete plumbing repairs involving sinks, faucets, drains, toilets, water supply lines, and storm drains. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, and breakers. Install, maintain, and repair cabinetry, countertops, doors, and drawers to ensure safe and functional operation. Perform drywall installation and repair, including framing, insulation, taping, mudding, texturing, priming, and painting. Read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, safety procedures, and technical instructions. Manage and monitor work requests through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including mobile applications and customer communications. Pick up, deliver, and transport materials, equipment, and supplies between locations as needed. Follow OSHA regulations and established safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, work orders, and completed projects. Identify and report defective materials, unsafe conditions, and maintenance concerns to Facilities leadership. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and participate in after-hours and weekend on-call coverage as required. Track, prioritize, and coordinate Facilities work orders to ensure timely completion and excellent customer service. Travel throughout San Diego, Riverside, and Imperial counties as needed. TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL NEED: High school diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years of building maintenance experience. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience reading and interpreting plans, sketches, blueprints, and technical documents. Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance practices. Demonstrated ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Proven painting, drywall, and general repair skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel between locations as needed. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, lifting, and carrying for extended periods. Ability to perform at a journeyman level in at least two skilled trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, or electrical. Ability to participate in after-hours and weekend on-call support as needed.
