THE ROLE: The Principal Business Development Manager (Product Partnerships) is the premier strategic architect of DailyPay’s Perks marketplace ecosystem. As a P5 Individual Contributor maxing individual contributor seniority, you will act as a principal advisor to the Senior Director of Product Partnerships and Chief Product Officer, navigating ambiguity to design commercial frameworks and playbooks adopted organization-wide. You will identify breakthrough partner categories, lead commercial negotiations, and leverage deep domain expertise across embedded, affiliate and ad-tech infrastructure to drive transformative revenue channels that enhance our users' financial well-being. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: * Ecosystem Strategy Architecture: Define and govern DailyPay’s long-term business development strategy for the Perks Marketplace, aligning product capabilities with high-impact partner monetization channels. * Commercial Negotiation: Orchestrate and execute complex commercial structures, including premium affiliate, referral, and deeply embedded partner offers from a position of industry authority. * Marketplace Development Strategy: Influence the strategic alignment between business development and product infrastructure, utilizing advanced knowledge of marketplaces, ad serving, and third-party monetization models. * Executive Advisory & Influence: Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the C-suite, providing out-of-network market foresight to shift organizational priorities and unlock new product categories. * Escalation & Governance Leadership: Provide an authoritative executive presence in partner management efforts, serving as the definitive point of escalation for critical ecosystem relationships. * Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with the Senior Director of Partnerships and Product leaders to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that expand DailyPay’s market footprint both inside and outside the marketplace. * Strategic Value Optimization: Continuously evaluate ecosystem performance against macroeconomic shifts, ensuring all partner models maximize user engagement and platform financial health. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM: * Relevant Experience: 12+ years of progressive business development or strategic partnerships experience, with a definitive track record of function-level or domain-level leadership within fintech, payroll, or ad-tech. * Deal-Making Mastery: Proven track record of architecting, negotiating, and scaling transformative corporate alliances and high-performing monetization pipelines from scratch. * Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of affiliate networks (e.g., Impact), programmatic monetization engines, and the strategic inner workings of modern digital marketplaces. * Systemic Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to resolve wide-ranging, multi-layered commercial challenges where fundamental principles do not fully apply. * Executive Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to influence C-suite executives, board members, and external enterprise partners. * Ecosystem Connections: Established, high-level professional network spanning the financial technology, employer benefits, and consumer marketplace verticals.
