The position offers a hybrid schedule: you will work once a week onsite and four days on remote. What you’ll do and how you’ll have an impact * Develop, test, and maintain microservices within our global platform that reaches millions of connected devices and users. * Collaborate in an agile team that embraces DevOps culture, taking ownership of solutions from development through to production operation. * Work on both legacy system modernization and new feature development across our full technology stack. * Learn from and contribute alongside a senior engineering team, with opportunities to grow your technical and professional skills. What we’re looking for * +5 years of backend software engineering experience in production environments. * Strong professional experience with Java/Spring Boot and Node.js/Next.js, as well as MongoDB and/or MySQL. * Solid knowledge of microservices architecture, service development, testing, and integration patterns. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container technologies, and automated testing practices. * Demonstrated experience owning software systems over time, including operating, maintaining, troubbleshooting, modernizing, and continuously improving existing applications in long-lived production environments. * Ability to work effectively in a senior capacity, including collaborating with, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers. * Track record of using AI development tools to accelerate delivery without compromising code quality, security, or maintainability. * Fluency in English.   At AppDirect, we believe that innovation thrives in an environment that houses diversity of excellence, experience and thought.
