We are currently looking to add a Mid-Level - Senior Forest Technician to our Forestry team.  Responsibilities:  As a Senior Forest Technician you will be responsible for the following:  * Leading the planning and layout of road and harvest systems * Lead all aspects of data management in the field and office * Ensure legal, regulatory and client specific requirements are met with deliverables * Effective supervision in the field and providing training for all crew members Qualifications and Experience:  * An above and beyond commitment to safety * Education in forestry field with a Forestry Tech Diploma or Degree * Registered or eligible for registration with ABCFP as RPF or RFT (or working towards) * Experience with road and cutblock layout within BC (minimum 4 years) * Experience utilizing LiDAR data for planning and locating roads and cutblocks * A firm understanding of forest policy, guidelines and BC’s regulations * Experience in steep slope layout and deflection analysis, SP data collection and drafting, riparian assessments, forest health, surveys.
