Administrator/FNA Assistant – Cytology Permanent, Full-time Dunedin Who we are | Ko wai mātou: Awanui Labs - Dunedin (previously known as SCL) provides high-quality diagnostic pathology services to the community, healthcare professionals and their patients. About the role | Mō te tūranga: Our busy Dunedin Laboratory provides services to both the Hospital and the Community and is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Administrator for Cytology to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time role of 80 hours per fortnight. We’re seeking an enthusiastic, capable team player with strong attention to detail. While previous healthcare experience is a plus, full training will be provided to help you succeed. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure accurate recording of patient and test information. * Answer telephone enquiries and manage incoming communications. * Perform data entry, filing, and general administrative tasks. * Assist patients attending the Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) clinic. * Collate and retrieve cases and reports for multidisciplinary review meetings. * Provide additional administrative support as required. About you | He kōrero mōu To be successful in this role you need to have: * Strong computer skills and comfortable using digital systems. * Previous healthcare experience is an advantage, but not essential. * Friendly, professional, and committed to providing excellent customer service. * Methodical and quality-conscious, with great attention to detail. * Comfortable working around needles, blood, and clinical environments. * Works effectively both independently and as part of a team. * Willing to learn, adaptable, and keen to develop new skills. * Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
