INTRODUCTION TO BRYN MAWR DERMATOLOGY*:We are a dermatology practice that offers general dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, and a large repertoire of cosmetic products and procedures. POSITION OVERVIEW:As a Medical Assistant you will have the opportunity to work directly with patients, Physicians and PA-Cs. This hands-on experience is perfect for the aspiring medical professional or career MA who craves more responsibilities. We provide you with an accelerated Dermatology Tech course upon hire to ensure you are prepared for the rigors of the job! SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: * Rooming patients and updating patient information into EMR system * Accurately obtaining chief complaint * Transcribing for providers during exams * Assisting with biopsies and select surgical procedures * Administering local anesthesia * Educating patients on treatment plans * Managing patient prescriptions/pathology/labs * Assisting with cosmetic procedures * Stocking rooms with necessary supplies * Sanitizing all work areas throughout the day and after each patient * Following through with individual side tasks APPLICANT CHARACTERISTICS WE ARE LOOKING FOR: * Dependable and punctual * Prefers a fast pace work environment * Excels in team atmosphere * Well-organized with attention to detail * Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work * Empathetic with patient needs and concerns EXPERIENCE: * College-level human A&P: 1 year (Plus) * Medical Assisting: 1 year (Plus) LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: * Certified Medical Assistant Certification (Plus)
