INTRODUCTION TO BRYN MAWR DERMATOLOGY*:We are a dermatology practice that offers general dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, and a large repertoire of cosmetic products and procedures. We pride ourselves in providing superior customer service, cutting edge esthetic offerings and unparalleled medical care. POSITION OVERVIEW: Patient Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of duties including patient registration, self-pay collection, payment posting as well as exhibiting poise, tact and compassion when dealing with patients. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: * Greeting incoming scheduled patients and adhering to intake procedures * Triage phone calls and document all patient interactions in the EMR * Be the 1st step in billing by collecting complete and accurate demographics and insurance information * Obtain and record revenues * Protect patients’ rights according to HIPAA guidelines * A plethora of ever-expanding administrative tasks * Hours can vary from week to week but always range between 35 & 40 hrs/week * Monday – Fridays are typically the days you will be scheduled, but an occasional Saturday may be required APPLICANT CHARACTERISTICS WE ARE LOOKING FOR: * Focused on customer service * Enjoys a fast-paced environment * Positive and professional attitude * Well-organized with attention to detail * Experience scheduling/navigating EMRs (Nextech) is a plus
